​  ​ Al was born in Trinidad in the 70’s, drawing and painting on anything he could find from his infant stage. In his teenage years with the help of his father (Al Porter Sr.) started designing and hand painting his own t-shirts.Learning to screen print later on in his life, he took his drawing to the next level of printing his own t-shirts and selling for extra cash.In the 90’s when his father passed away Al took some time off of printing to learn Computer Graphic Design, ink types and different types of printing methods.As his passion grew, this soon evolved to the creation and design of DVD packaging for some of the great shows of Trinidad’s carnival.in memory of his father who was a commercial artist and sign-painter, Al started PORTER1911 in 2010 with the help of some friends designing and printing for POSION UK, MASQUE FACE, friends and family.The true essence for his artistic designs lies in his expression of his love for his dad who was his greatest inspiration.Thanks dad for the great inheritance you have left me, it brings joy, peace, patience and a richness to my life that cannot be replaced.         ​​        ​UNSHAKABLEFOCUS ON AFFORDABLE APPAREL
